Student Information:
• The ASB is sponsoring a Halloween door decorating contest. Everyone's 2nd period class and teacher will decorate their classroom door. Door judging will be on October 29thth. There will be the prize of the Golden Pumpkin, doughnuts for the winning class, and a prize for the teacher.
• Picture day is tomorrow.
• The homecoming dance will be Saturday, October 23 from 8-11pm. The dance is a semi-formal / formal, the cost is $10 single, $15 couple, must have a negative Covid test and masks must be worn at all times.
• Starting today the homecoming dance qualifications are no more than 3 tardies total and no disciplinary referrals.
• Today is the 33rd anniversary of the National March on Washington for lesbian and gay rights. National Coming Out Day, was observed for the first time in all 50 states in 1990 to celebrate awareness of LGBTQ+ community and civil rights. It continues to be a day of celebration during October for LGBTQ+ history month. Raymond Junior and High School Equality Club students will celebrate National Coming Out Day and LGBTQ+ history with a photo booth, swag and information today during lunch.
• The Girl Scout Troop will be running a food drive during the month of October. Some items that are needed are: Rice-a-Roni, Hamburger Helper, canned soup, pancake mix, canned milk (not condensed), canned meat/fish, and peanut butter. There is a drop off box by the high school office.
• Headphones need to be stored away after 8:30.
• On this day in history 1981: Unknown American rocker Prince opens for Rolling Sontes at Los Angeles Coliseum.
