Weekly Events: Wednesday – HSGB vs. Mabton @ The Spokane Arena @ 12:15

• The RHS girls came out on the wrong side of a back and forth game against Okanogan on Saturday, losing 65-56.  This means that they will start the state tournament with a loser-out game on Wednesday against Mabton at 12:15. A win in that game would move them to the double-elimination round of the bracket and a match-up with Colfax on Thursday.  The state bracket can be found HERE.  You can also check for updates on the Raymond Athletics Facebook and Twitter pages.
• Today there is a Junior High track meeting in Mr. Hatfield's room at 2:45. If you are planning on participating, please make sure to be there.
• Boys soccer players who are riding the bus to practice need to ride the Monkey bus to South Bend.
• February is Black History Month:  Among the notable figures often spotlighted during Black History Month are Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who fought for equal rights for Blacks during the 1950s and '60s;  and Barack Obama, who was elected the first-ever African-American president of the United States in 2008.

• February is Black History Month:  This month was chosen because it includes the birthdays of both Frederick Douglass, an abolitionist (someone who wanted to end the practice of enslaving people) and former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln.  President Lincoln led the US during the Civil War which was primarily fought over the enslavement of Black people in the country.
• Quote for the day:  I believe in myself… so anything is possible!

• Completed bingo sheets and coloring sheets need to be turned into the office.  Make sure your names are on your papers when you turn them in.
• Today during 7th period we will be calling all students participating in today's spirit day will be called down to the office for a parade and photos.

• Raymond School District is offering a rooter bus for those who are interested in attending the district championship game on Saturday.  It will be leaving at approximately 4:15pm on Saturday.  If you are interested in riding, please sign up at the link below.  You must sign up before 3pm on Friday.  The bus will be free to ride, but you will still be responsible for paying admission into the game ($7 for adults, $5 for students w/ASB and senior citizens).  https://forms.gle/SLfFxb3N7LLtaxhUA  There needs to be 15-20 people signed up in order to for this to happen.

• Today is National Random Acts of Kindness Day which is celebrated every year to inspire people to be generous and kind.  Doing kind acts for others not only brings happiness to the receiver, but also to the giver.  
• During both lunches ASB will have an activity table set up in the cafeteria.  Please stop by and check things out.
