Daily Bulletin for 2-28-22

DAILY BULLETIN

February 28, 2022

Weekly Events: Wednesday – HSGB vs. Mabton @ The Spokane Arena @ 12:15

• The RHS girls came out on the wrong side of a back and forth game against Okanogan on Saturday, losing 65-56.  This means that they will start the state tournament with a loser-out game on Wednesday against Mabton at 12:15. A win in that game would move them to the double-elimination round of the bracket and a match-up with Colfax on Thursday.  The state bracket can be found HERE.  You can also check for updates on the Raymond Athletics Facebook and Twitter pages.
• Today there is a Junior High track meeting in Mr. Hatfield's room at 2:45. If you are planning on participating, please make sure to be there.
• Boys soccer players who are riding the bus to practice need to ride the Monkey bus to South Bend.
• February is Black History Month:  Among the notable figures often spotlighted during Black History Month are Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who fought for equal rights for Blacks during the 1950s and '60s;  and Barack Obama, who was elected the first-ever African-American president of the United States in 2008.
• Quote for the day: Everyone you admire was once a beginner.
